My son is a Marine. He served six year in the Corp and even though his service ended a few years ago, I have learned that there is no such thing as a “former” Marine. I still see the effects of that life in his actions today. The way he conducts himself, the way he stands, the way he treats those around him. It’s something instilled within. Something I tried to do for 21 years. The Marine Corp managed it in 13 weeks.
