My alarm is set for 5:45 a.m. At 5:40, I got a different kind of wake up call. My bed started shaking and my window blinds were making funny noises. I've felt this a couple of other times in my life, growing up in southern Illinois. I knew right away away what it was. An earthquake. I turned on the television and a few minutes later, our local news affiliate was reporting a 5.4 earthquake located near the Indiana/Illinois border - 250 miles away from here. That was enough shaking for me! Glad we don't live in California!!!
