Nothing Like It.....

Teenage girls and high school softball. We've been surrounded by it for nearly 15 years - starting with Carrie, then Katie and Colleen and Chrissie. We got a 4-year reprieve - but we spent it doing baseball with Kevin and now we're back to the softball gig with Kelli. Saturday was spent in Wawasee, Indiana - in the middle of Amish country. It was an invitational tournament and we were there bright and early in the morning - dodging the raindrops. Luckily, the rain subsided and the sun came out and it turnd into a beautiful day. We lost the first game in the bottom of the 7th. We'd led the entire game, but just couldn't hold on to that 1-run lead. The second game found us giving up five runs in the first inning - NOT a good way to start! But, we managed to claw our way back and had a HUGE 5th inning and ended up winning the game 10-6. That made for a MUCH better bus ride home! I had fun getting some photos of the girls between games. I love these first couple - Kelli and Jamie comparing their softball battle scars.
