Bureau of Motor Vehicles Nightmare....

I was in an accident on December 8th, 2005. In February, I received a Certificate of Compliance notice from the State of Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles. My insurance agent filled out the notice (showing that I was insured on the date of the accident) and returned it to the State on February 16 and I go on with life.

Over the weekend I get a notice from the State of Indiana that my license has been suspended due to no insurance on the date of the accident. This morning I call the State of Indiana and they inform me that they have all of my information for a 2000 Lexus - BUT, the police officer at the scene of the accident wrote on the police report that I was driving a 2005 Lexus - which as far as the State of Indiana is concerned is not an insured vehicle.

Now, I'm insured on a 2000 Lexus and I'm registered on a 2000 Lexus - so the State is "trying" to get a supervisor to overide the suspension and make me legal again. I am patiently waiting for a return phone call from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

I just want to be LEGAL!!!!
