I'm Feeling Pretty Special Here....

For those of you who don't know, I'm on the Design Team for a scrapbook store here in the South Bend area - Pages in Time. An awesome store with a very talented Design Team (not speaking for myself). I feel honored to even be a part of this group. Many have been published, win huge contests, travel to Europe all expenses paid by Quickutz to teach classes, etc.

As for me, I was just tickled pink this morning to open up the link to our new website and see my "SUMMER" layout displayed. So, please check out the store's new and wonderful website, read the little bios about our talented group and check out my Slip Slidin' Summer layout under "This Month's Theme".

Latest Design Team Assignment...

Our latest Design Team assignment - due July 1st - is to do a layout using a photo of yourself (yuck) and incorporating a list in the layout. I chose "Little Things That Make Me Happy".

I was really happy with the simplicty of the layout and it gave me a chance to use my NEW Cricut for my lettering.

Let's just hope it's another YEAR before we're asked to include our OWN photo in a layout.

Now, I know why I'm happiest on the OTHER END of the camera!

Kevin's Graduation Video - UPDATED!!

Here's the new and improved version - complete with graduation day photos - all ready for his party on July 1st.

Why is it when I set these photos to music they bring a tear to my eye? Looking at the same photos don't do a thing to me - but add the music and LOOK OUT!!

Could be I'm just an overly emotional person!!

After Four Years...

The seven senior members of the Clay Colonials played their final game together on Thursday night, June 1st. LaPorte proved to be more than the Colonials could handle and we went down in defeat by a score of 6-2 in the Semi-Final of the South Bend Sectional.

Prior to the pre-game warm up, I caught this moment between big sister and little brother that touched my heart. I think Chrissie only missed one game all year - being one of their biggest supporters - much to the delight of the rest of the team.

Nolan was there with his new shirt - which even managed to get a smile out of Uncle Kevin from the dugout.

Then it was time for one final introduction and one last hustle to centerfield...

As the seventh inning rolled around and things were looking bleak - Chrissie tried one last desperate move - the infamous "rally cap".

No matter how old they are and how tall they grow, they're still your little boys - and every mom there last night had a tough time dealing with the tears in the eyes of their sons.

As we said our goodbyes and prepared to leave, we caught three of the seniors sitting on the floor hugging. Photos started to snap and we quickly added the other seniors for one last photo - even if it was with a defeated look.

Grandma's Got a New Camera

... and what better place to try it out, but at Nolan's t-ball game. I'm loving it - and I haven't even got past the "AUTO" mode. This thing does stuff I'll probably never even attempt - but right now, I'm loving this 12x optical zoom!!!

Free Spirit

Our family has a "free spirit" in little Grace.

She has a mind of her own and a little attitude to match.

Her curls are out of control and she refuses a barette or a hair brush.

She refuses to hold your hand - wants to do everything by herself.

Stubborn, Bossy, Beautiful - and only 2.
