Head Coach

My little girl is a college coach - guess it really won't sink in until I see her barking out orders to her players (who, by the way all tower over their coach). I'll get my chance to see her and her team in action in just three weeks when I travel with them to Florida for a 10-day spring break trip. She jokingly mentioned to her Athletic Director a few months ago that her mom would like to go as the "team mom". The next thing we knew, he had purchased my airplane ticket and put on the "roster". I'm now official. I've got the jacket, the sweatshirt and the travel bag to prove it! Of course, I do have an ulterior motive...my mom, my brother and his family live just 35 miles from Cocoa Beach where the spring break tournament will be held. I have my own rental car booked, and I'll be making some runs to Melbourne between practice sessions and game days.

Just looking forward to a little R & R - even if it's with 12 - 19/20 year olds.

Lose to Cruise

It's not that I'm counting the days (289) or anything like that - but isn't this thing just GLORIOUS!! Not to mention that it's name is the GLORY!

The treadmill is out and the diet has begun - 'cause you gotta lose to cruise!

I've actually had some time in the past few days to do some pages for myself - not the Design Team, not my personal orders from customers - just ME! Every now and then it's nice to put aside all of the "requirements" and dwell on my own family album.

I'll Be CRUISIN' in December...

Let me just start off by saying that this is a dream come true - something I've ALWAYS wanted to do, but somehow never found the opportunity. Well, last weekend the opportunity fell in my lap and I GRABBED it. My brother and sister-in-law live in Florida and do the cruise thing quite often. They've invited us before, but there was always a conflit - a daughter getting married, a grandbaby on the way, etc. So, they call us and they're giving us 11 months notice and I JUST DID IT!!

December 2 - 9, we'll be cruising on the Carnival Glory with my brother and his wife out of Port Canaveral. Our ports of call will be Key West, Cozumel and Belize. Seven days of sunshine, palm trees, warm breezes and all that FOOD!!!

Now, to top it off - my best friend and her husband have decided to join us and they booked their room four doors down from us. I'm not going to wish this year away - because the planning and anticipation is half the fun.
